NOTE You need to activate censor mode for the Viewer in order to use this feature.  View / Censor Mode


You will see Add Video Censor and Add Audio Censor buttons appear in bottom right panel.

 To apply censoring, user needs to have Edit right ( please see SECURITY and MANAGEMENT for more information ) and;

 - Go to the point in the timeline that you need censoring

 - Click Audio or Video censor,

 - Drag the cursor to the censor end point

 - Click Audio or Video censor button again

    • The Viewer will skip the video censor part while preview and mute audio for the audio censor part
    • MAM can still make searches within censored material
    • Each asset that has been censored is tagged in a metadata field (Is Censored : yes/no)

NOTE You will notice that the censor part in the timeline is black for video, and gray for audio censor

NOTE You will receive the error message below if you do not have the edit user right.



Removing Censors

When you right click in the censor area in the timeline, you will see Delete Censor command.


Disabling Censors

If you disable censors from here, Viewer will play the asset as if all timeline is uncensored until censors are activated again
