What is this Asset?
Asset is the combination of the actual video file with thumbnail, metadata, storyboard, proxy and possible different versions of video and attached files. Metus MAM keeps all related information and relations in an asset structure in the database.Â

The indicators
S  If highlighted, the asset has a storyboard. Please see #storyboard for more information
P  If highlighted, the asset has a proxy. Please see #proxy for more information
I  If highlighted, the asset is indexed for image matching. Please see #Image matching for more information
The green bar below the image means the asset is online (on disc storage)Â Â (online)
The yellow bar below the image means the asset is on tape in the drive  (nearline)
The red bar below the image means the asset is on tape and NOT in the drive (offline)

NOTE you can also play the video on the asset icon with double click of clapperboard image at bottom right of the icon. When in preview mode, the indicator panel turns to a basic timeline, with play/ pause/ stop and mute buttons.

IMPORTANT NOTEÂ We have described 'the Asset' here in desktop clients, but these are the assets that you will deal with, on all of our clients (web, plug-ins etc). The icons may look a little different but they all refer to the same asset all the time.
