Configuring a Dynamic Bin
Folder to Watch is the watch folder, with (...) browse icon, you can browse your network to select your watch folder.
Scan the folder when the project file is loaded will synchronize the dynamic bin whenever a client loads the project file (recommended)
You can check delete source files after archiving is completed if you need the initial files to be deleted from the watch folder
Watch Sub Folders will set Metus MAM to scan the sub-folders inside the watch folder, and will import the files in the sub-folders into MAM database
If Skip Files that are already archived is checked, MAM will not archive the source files that are already in the archive from the watch folder
Import the Files which are being ingested, is a feature that allows you to work on growing files in your MAM system. 'Ingesting' icon will appear with these assets.
Use system watcher must be checked (default) unless it is recommended by Metus team.
You can set Automatic or Manual for Start up Type (automatic is recommended)
You can select how to organize assets and folders in your Dynamic Bin from the drop-down menu of Bin Structure
Bin structure options
Above, you see the options menu for the Dynamic Bin. Top, you can select a metadata template to be applied to bins and all assets or video, audio, image, document or sequence assets seperately.

You can use the Options to use custom options for Asset Creation, Storyboard, Proxy, Thumbnail, File Naming, OCR, File Copy and Mandatory Metadata options. If you do not set custom options, then Metus MAM will handle the asset archiving according to the default options set by the admin. Please see Archiving Options - 4.0.0.0 (admin panel) for more detailed information.
Other Options is to set custom options for Advanced Options in Others - 4.0.0.0 in Project Settings.
After settings are done, click Start button then click OK button. Your Dynamic Bin is ready and working.
NOTE The Bin icon will turn yellow when it is stopped (stops scanning the watch folder) and turn red when it is working (realtime scanning)
Supportability Notes
Non-Windows based file system may not be worked properly.
AFP, NFS is not supported.
The NAS sytems which do not support CIFS fully, may not work properly.
