SQL 2012 Installation

You can start SQL installation after completing required settings.
Â
1- Run the SQL Server 2008 setup from DVD. Click the Installation menu from left side. Click the first option (New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation).

2- Make sure that all rules are passed.
3- After you click OK, Setup will ask you product key . Please enter your product key and click to Next button.
Â

4- Accept the license terms and click to Next button.
Â
Â
5- At the opening window click to Next button.
Â
Â
6- Setup will start installing the Setup Support Rules. Failures must be corrected before Setup can continue.
Â
Â
If you get Windows Firewall warning you can configure it after the installation. So, if this is the only  warning, you may continue.
Â
Click Next to continue.
Â
7- In the coming window , choose Setup Role as SQL Server Feature Installation .

8-  In the coming Feature Selection window, click Select All to check all features. Select the Shared feature directories and click to Next.

9- Be sure that all the Installation Rules are passed and click to Next.Â
Â
Â
10- Choose the Default Instance from options. For the instance root directory choose the separate physical disk that you will use it for SQL Server database.

11- A window will appear which show you the Disk Space Requirements . Click to Next button.Â

12-Â Â From the server configuration page, do the settings for service as it shown below.

13- From the collation panel choose the correct language (generally your native langauge), this is very important. Otherwise you cannot search words with language specific characters.
Â
Â
14- Choose mixed mode from the option and enter a password for sa user.
Â
Please note this password because this password and sa user will be required when you create Metus projects.
Â
Add Current User for SQL Administrators.
Â
Â
15- Choose the Data Directories and click to Next .
Â
Â
16- Choose Server Mode as Multidimensional and Data Mining Mode , and Select Add Current User.
Â
Â
17- Select the data directories and click to Next.
Â
Â
18- Choose the Install the native mode default configuration option.
Â
Â
19- Select the current user and click to Next .
Â
Â
20- Write the controller name and click to Next .
Â
Â
21- You don’t need to check those options. Click to Next button.
Â
Â
22- Click Next if all rules are passed.
Â
Â
23- Now SQL Server is ready to install , click to Install button .
Â
Â
24-Â The Installer will progress a while.Â
Â
Â
After the installation performed, click Next to continue.
Â
25- Click Close if all installation is succeeded.Â
