SQL Server performance is critical in Metus MAM system because all MAM operations are done on SQL Server database. Therefore the better the SQL server configuration, the better the overall MAM performance will be.

 

(info) System disk and Database disk should be physically separated. Database disk should be at least 100GB and Raid1 configured.

 

(info) Before starting SQL installation ;

 

(lightbulb) Make sure the UAC (User account control) is disabled. ( To see how to do UAC settings click HERE . ) You need to restart system after confugiring UAC Settings .

 

 

(lightbulb) Make sure the Windows FireWall is Turned Off. 

 

-Go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Windows FireWall .

-Click to Turn Windows FireWall on or off tab from the left side of the window shown below.

 

 

(lightbulb) Enable desktop experience from Server Manager > Add Feature. 

 

 

Restart the server.

 

After restart, the installer will continue configuring this feature. You will see the below confirmation.
