You can archive your assets in an 'archive project' which means MAM will copy the files to its assigned central archive storage.

Library projects create asset structures of your files, but do not copy the original files to any storage.

Manual Archival

    • You can right click in an empty field of an archive project and select Archive File or Folder
    • You can drag&drop any file from your PC to MAM desktop client interface
    • You can find your files/folders to be archived from the Folder Browser, and either archive them to an archive project or create assets from them in a library project

When archiving files, Metus MAM will use the pre-settings defined in Project Properties/Archival. Please see Archiving Options - 4.0.0.0 and Library Options - 4.0.0.0 for more information

Automatic Archival

You can create and configure Dynamic Bins for automatic archival in Metus MAM. Please see Bins - the MAM Folders - 4.0.0.0 and Dynamic Bin Settings - 4.0.0.0

NOTE You can configure different archival settings for each Dynamic Bin with Use Custom Asset Creating Options/Options/Bin Settings
