1.1 Installation of .NET 4.6


.NET 4.6 or above version is necessary for each client computer. All versions of .NET 4.6 are useful. Please check your Control Panel > Programs and Feature. If Microsoft .NET Framework 4 haven’t installed on your system yet,


1.2 Metus MAM Web Service-API installation


Metus MAM Web Service is licensed software that will be installed on to one machine in a workgroup. Each other computers must have access to this computer for using Metus MAM Web service properly. By this way, all workgroup members might get the Metus MAM projects.


  •  Double click on Metus MAM Web Service-API.msi installer and click Next button on Welcome window

  •  In Select Installation Folder window, the default directory is suggested to leave as installation directory to users. Then, click Next.


           


  • When the installation is ready for computer, in this step, you’ll be supposed to click Next button to continue to installation

  • While installation progress is going on, Set Service Login popup appears and asks for a username, password and confirmation of the password.


           


If the computer is connected to a workgroup, Computer Name\Username should be typed as username and if the computer is in a domain, Domain Name\Username should be typed in the username field. In the password field, password of the username should be typed. And it should be typed again to “confirm password” field to be sure that it is typed correctly. The user entered in this field must have administrator privileges. Click OK to continue the installation.


Note: Be sure that a backslash “\” is typed before the username, not a forward slash “/”.
 

  • Click Finish button to finish the installation.


           


1.3 Metus MAM Web Service-API configuration


After the Metus MAM Web Service-API installation is completed, in order to access your project, you need to share the project file with Metus MAM Web Service-API service;
 

  • Go to Metus MAM Web Service-API installation directory (default directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Metus Technology\Metus MAM Web Service\App_Data\SharedProjects\ )

  • Project files (.map, .mlp) of the projects should be placed under App_Data\SharedProjects subfolder. So, copy the project files that you want to use over Premiere Extension to this directory.

  • Restart the Metus MAM Web Service in services.msc that shows all services installed to computer.


         


1.4 Metus Adobe Premiere Plug-in Installation


In order to install Metus Adobe Premiere Plug-in, please download Anastasiy's Extension Manager;

Anastasiy's Extension Manager can be downloaded it from below link.

  • Run Anastasiy's Extension Manager.
  • Select "Premiere Pro" from the list and click the "Install" button.

  • From the newly appeared window select the "Metus Adobe Premire extension" and click "Open" button.


         


  • Anastasiy's Extension Manager will start installing Metus Adobe Premiere extension.


         


  • The Metus Adobe Premiere extension installation has been completed, The Metus Adobe Premiere extension will be appear in the extension list.


         


  • After you have successfully installed the Metus Premiere extension, You will be able to see the Metus MAM CC extension under the Premiere "Window > Extensions" menu.


         


         


  • Web Service IP : Enter the Metus Web Server IP address.
  • Port : Default port number is 8191, If you changed the port number while installing the Metus Web Service, Please type the new port number.


         


  • You can browse your archive, folders and predefined search folders or search your archive all together to find needed assets
  • You can play your assets with 3rd party players
  • You can use either proxy of the asset or the hi-res version. All your clips in the active sequence will be changed with one click between proxy and hi-res
  • You can import your assets by drag&drop to the timeline, or with Import button


NOTE : You can also export your mark in/out metadata from MAM archive to Premiere (you need to import your assets a playlist)
