Enterprise system may be described as where all server side module options are installed on single or multiple seperate dedicated hardwares. Please see Enterprise System Design for the diagram
SQL Database Server
Database query traffic requires mostly RAM
CPU | Dual Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2650 v3 or above |
RAM | 32 GB for 1-10 User and less than a million assets; |
HDD | 140 GB SAS or SSD in RAID, less than 250K assets; |
OS | Win 2008 Server R2 64, Win 2012 Server R2 64 |
HW | DELL PowerEdge R430 or smilar; |
Metus Archive Server
In an enterprise system, MAS will run Metus Archive module which is the backbone of the whole system
CPU | Single Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2620 v3 or above for 1-10 users |
RAM | 16 GB |
HDD | 250 GB |
OS | Win 2008 Server R2 64, Win 2012 Server R2 64 |
HW | DELL PowerEdge R430 or smilar; |
Metus Process Server
MPS is the transcoding engine of the system
CPU | Dual Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2650 v3 or above |
RAM | 16 GB |
HDD | 500 GB |
OS | Win 2008 Server R2 64, Win 2012 Server R2 64 |
HW | DELL PowerEdge R430 or smilar; |
Metus Web Server
Web server mainly requires CPU to serve web clients
CPU | Single Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2620 v3 or above for 1-10 users |
RAM | 16 GB |
HDD | 500 GB |
OS | Win 2008 Server R2 64, Win 2012 Server R2 64 |
Metus Image Matching Server
Metus Image matching server mainly requires RAM as the index information of the video is written on RAM
Each 1 hour of video takes approximately 1 MB RAM. Therefore, if you need to index 10.000 hrs of content, then server needs to have at least 10 GB RAM
CPU | Dual Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2650 v3 or above |
RAM | 32 GB for 1-10 User and less than a million assets; |
HDD | 140 GB SAS or SSD in RAID, less than 250K assets; |
OS | Win 2008 Server R2 64, Win 2012 Server R2 64 |
HW | DELL PowerEdge R430 or smilar; |
Metus MAM Desktop Client
MAM client will be a regular workstation or user PC
CPU | Quad, i5, i7 or Xeon | |
RAM | 4-8 GB | |
HDD | 500 GB SAS or SSD | |
