File Menu
ASSET
You can save your modifications done in the viewer (mark, master in-outs, metadata changes, custom in-out points etc) with Save Changes Now
With Save and Continue, a pop-up window will come up. You will enter a name, and MAM will save the modified asset as a new one with the entered name
NOTE The presettings for Save and Continue command is under Settings / Save and Continue Options
Reload is related with play growing files feature in MAM, whenever clicked the viewer will update the file to the point where ingested at that particular time. Please see #play growing files in MAM
You can save a particular frame from the video as an image (in many different formats) to your local disc, or an asset in the system
TRANSCODE, CREATE PROXY, ARCHIVE, RETRIEVE commands are the same with the Asset Right Click Menu. Please see #
With Save As, you have detailed options to save your modified asset. You will enter the new name, choose the bin to save to with options of reloading the original asset after save and trim mark in-out points (also, you have the Only File option in library projects which allows you to have a new file in your disc, but not a new asset in the project.

PLAYBACK
Play, Pause, Stop, To Start, To End, Next Frame, Previous Frame, Next Clip and Previous Clip is the traditional VTR control commands which also can be found as buttons bottom panel of the Viewer.
You can configure the Viewer to start playing the asset automatically with Auto Start
Loop button can also be found at the bottom panel
You can set the Viewer to play between In-Out points, only between Custom In-Out points , and play excluding Custom In-Out points from Playback Range
Playback Rate is where you can set your playback speed (left panel)
Offset is where you can jump to particular offset points in the timeline
Audio settings can also be found in the right bottom panel of the Viewer
TIMELINE
This menu is the same with the right click menu in the timeline. Please see # for more information
SETTINGS
Both Use Proxy and Use Original File if Proxy is not Present options are checked by default in Metus MAM. The Viewer will play the proxy if present and hi-res version if there is no proxy for that asset.
Clear Asset List on Close ...
You can overlay any metadata field in Viewer preview. With Configure Metadata Overlay, you can set which fields to be shown, where on the picture, and font size,type and color.
NOTE Show Overlay Metadata must be active from the View menu, for the metadata overlay to be visible.
You can enable Auto Save and set a time interval in seconds for save period
You can save the options that are changed for the Viewer as a Profile, or reset to default settings.

Top Panel
- You can see Mini-Browser where you can toggle between your recent viewed assets easily,
- You can see the info box at right, where some basic info about the asset is summarized. (you can click on the box to change the info display)
Right Panel
- In right panel, we have Use Proxy button. You can change between proxy (if there is one available for the particular asset) and hi-res version easily with this button. (Shortcut: Ctrl + Space)
- You can change the thumbnail for the asset with Create Thumbnail from current frame. You can also add frames to the storyboard of the asset with Add SB button. This button will be inactive if the asset has no storyboard.
- You can change the aspect ratio for the image or add a letter box from the drop-down menu
- You can enable/disable the censors to turn on/off the censoring in Viewer preivew. Please see Censoring - 4.0.0.0 for more information
- You can zoom in and out the image in the viewer screen from the drop-down menu
- With the lock button - bottom of the right panel, you can lock the Viewer against changes
- You see the audio controls at right-bottom corner, where you can change audio volume, mute and set left-right balance for the asset

Bottom Panel
At bottom, you can see the Timers information for Master In - Out points and Master duration , Mark In - Out points and Mark duration, Marker point, Cursor point and total Duration of the asset
Below that, there are vintage VTR playback controls; go to start position, play/pause, stop, previous frame, next frame and go to end position.
Bottom Left
There are Previous Clip and Next Clip buttons stationed left of the VTR controls. These buttons opens the next asset or the previous one (according to the line of mini-browser / your recently viewed assets)
Bottom Right
You will see Add Video Censor and Add Audio Censor button at right, please see Censoring - 4.0.0.0 in Metus MAM for more information about audio and video censoring
You can Zoom in and Out focusing the timeline Life saver with populated (tens of markers, custom areas, descriptions...) timelines!
You can play only the part between Mark In and Out and you can set the Viewer in Loop mode to repeat playing the active asset.
