- Before installing Metus INGEST, please see Software Requirements and Hardware Requirements .
- Before installing Metus INGEST, please make sure that there is no older version of Metus INGEST installed. If there is, see below for upgrading Metus INGEST.
- Metus INGEST.exe file has all necessary requirements that is needed. When you click Metus INGEST.exe, the setup will automatically start installing the requirements which are;
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
- C++ Runtimes
- Windows Media Format Runtime (Optional: if you would like to capture wmv format)
- Quicktime (Optional: if you would like to capture in QuickTime format)
- License Dongle drivers : The License Dongle Key must be plugged to a computer’s USB port where Metus Ingest will be installed. Please plug the dongle key if it is not plugged and run “haspdinst.exe” in the Requirements folder using cmd. (Drag and drop this exe on cmd window and append “ -i” then hit enter key)
- Run Metus Ingest 3.x.x.exe setup and follow the instructions.
- After installing the requirements, setup will automatically install Metus INGEST.

- It is recomended to install Metus Ingest on a Windows7 64-bit OS.
- UAC (User Account Control) Settings on Windows7 should be set to "Never Notify" (restart needed). Please click HERE to see how to do this.
- Run Metus Ingest 3.x.x.exe setup and follow the instructions.
