You can have a single project or multiple projects which consists of assets, bins(folders), physical files related to them, information and metadata, settings, user defined profiles, users&groups and user rights etc etc and all relevant information are all stored in a database structure.

2 Archive Project
The main difference between an archive and a library project is; with an archive project, Metus MAM archives the assets in tape or disc units according to project settings, changing the physical locations of the files that are to be archived.

Project File
The project information is saved as a Metus project file in a local or network disc. MAP file is for Archive Project and MLP file is for Library Project
