1 Library Project
The library project do does NOT change the physical locations of the files. Users work with files directly, using all metadata options and MAM features. An example , may be a media monitoring facility with multiple Ingest stations (all of them with local storage discs). Here, there is no advance need for archiving the content in a central location, but a proper tagging and organized MAM structure is necessary to reach needed content easily.

The main difference between an archive and a library project is ; that with an archive project, Metus MAM archives the assets in tape or disc units, according to project settings, changing the physical locations of the files that are to be archived. It is not possible to reach the archived content outside of MAM if default options are selected.
