You can customize non-image sources or blank displays with place holder in the Global Settings menu.
The settings can be adjusted from the Global Settings for all sources, as well as individually for each source settings.
Global Place Holder Settings:
To configure Global “Place Holder” settings, go to Options menu.
Switch to Customize tab.
Go to Place Holder menu.
Select an indicator from the list to display in the preview screen.
If the source is somehow disconnected, the indicator is displayed instead of the source video.
The Place Holder settings can be also configured separately for each source.
To configure "Place Holder" source based:
Go to Source > Options menu.
Switch to Customize tab.
Enable “Override Global Customize Option” checkbox.
Go to Place Holder menu.
Customize the indicator settings from the list to display in the preview screen for selected source.
