Metadata Tab in MAM desktop client

Toolbar - metadata tab

  • Apply Template  You can apply a pre-saved metadata template to the asset. Please see  Template Bin - create a template - 4.0.0.0 for more information

  • Add If some of the metadata fields are not shown, you can click Add, and you will see all the non-displayed fields in that group. You can easily click to field name to make it visible. The Add button will be active only for the metadata groups that have non-displayed fields.

Filter Fields


  • Show Total Values in Case of Multiple Selection This is applicable for values which can be summed. When several assets are marked in the project area, fields like Duration, Age, View Count, etc. will show as a value the result from the sum of the values of all marked assets.

Tab Options

  • Locate Search Values If you activate this option, all the fields that match the search criteria will be highlighted. Please see below;

 

  • Show All Metadata in One Tab all the fields will be shown under one tab, instead of separate tabs for each group.

Save options

  • These 2 options are checked by default, which means MAM will save every change in the metadata fields instantly to its database. If you uncheck one or both of these options, than Save and Undo buttons become active for the metadata tab.

 

Metadata Menu

  • You can manually add a metadata group
  • You can add a metadata field of a group
  • You can add a metadata field from List of All Fields 
  • You can Show or Close a metadata group all together
  • You can Show/Hide Fields (only administrators) and see All Fields list,,
