Safe Network Recording - The Latest

You can reach Safe Network Recording Settings tab by clicking Tools > Options > Safe Network Recording.

Metus INGEST saves the auto-split parts of the encoded video in local workstation, and in a few seconds after the encoding started, it will automatically start transferring the split files to final network location. There will be no loss of data even if the network shuts down, as the split files are cached in local workstation until transferring to network has completed successfully for each split part.

NOTE: Safe network recording is not supported for profiles below:

1. AVID OP-Atom muxed profiles 

2. OP1a muxed DNxHD profiles 

3. DVC profiles 

4. P2 muxed profiles

5. VP8/VP9 profiles
