Metus INGEST Controller for iOS & Android is designed to remotely control Metus INGEST with a smartphone or tablet. With just a few taps on your smartphone, you can remotely access the Ingest workstations on the same wireless network and you can also control your INGEST projects from anywhere and anytime. You can start, stop, pause your encoders, monitor activity, settings and system performance or split files for all your INGEST channels with a simple interface.

You must have Metus Ingest Control Agent previously installed on the same machine as INGEST for the app to work.

Instructions:


How to use it on your smartphone:

  1. Open Metus INGEST and Control Agent
  2. Open the app.
  3. Choose Settings on the bottom right corner, choose Add Ingest.


  • In the Display Name field, you can enter any name you desire
  • The IP/Name field must contain the IP address or the unique name of the target machine
  • The Port field is set to 9001 by default, except in cases it has been manually changed in the Remote Control Agent settings
  • The Password field can be filled you specified it in Control Agent’s settings.

Tap the Save button.

    4. Once the app is connected to the INGEST(S), you can control multiple Encoders the control buttons for all of them simultaneously, or you can control them separately by tapping on each INGEST.

                                             


    5. Once an INGEST page is opened, it displays all the encoders, CPU&Disk Usage. You can control all encoders simultaneously in this page.


  • To load project just tab the icon on the upper right corner. It opens the window below


   6.  Tab the encoder name to control an encoder individually.

You can also change the file template of the output.
