IMPORTANT: From MAM version 4.6.4.0, you need to install XenData Workflow API service together with XenData Archive Service!

MAM 4.6.4.0 and XenData Workflow Integration


Note: MAM 4.6.3.0 and lower versions are still compatible with the XenData Archive Service.


In order to install Xendata Workflow service, you should firstly download the compatible XenData Workflow API service from the XenData web site.


If you are going to install XenData ODA integration, you need to install ODA driver too otherwise ODA driver doesn't need to install it!

Installation of the XenData Archive Service and the Workflow Service


Due to XenData Archive service and the Workflow service are the standalone applications you should install them on the same server but apply their licenses separately!


1) Install the "XDServerx64-6.22.2716.300" service with the defaults settings by using its setup file.


*After the XenData Archive Service installation completed!


2) You should install the "XDWorkflowAPIx32-6.25.2626.-1" service with the following options;



Workflow API Installation

From the setup menu choose the custom installation option;

Make sure that you have selected XenData Workflow API service from the list and disabled all the other integrations;

These information are optional so you can skip them by clicking the Next button;

Click the Install button to start XenData Workflow API service installation.


*When the installations of the XenData Archive Service and the API service completed to be able to start their services you need to apply their licenses!


3) Apply the XenData Archive Service license and the Workflow API service licenses separately by using "XenData License Administration Utility" 



Note: If the operating system you are going to about making the installations is a Windows Server 2012 R2, you should also activate the following registry key on the server side that where you installed the XenData Archive Service and the API Service!

*The registry key is in the article attachment!


*After you have successfully installed the Metus MAM, MAS, XenData Archive Service, and the API Workflow Service, there is only left one step that you need to configure.


To connect the Metus MAM and the Workflow API each other;



1) Run Metus MAM Client.

2) Go to "Project > Properties > Others > Misc" menu.

3) Make sure that you have selected "XenData" from HSM Operator menu.

4) Define the Workflow API's IP address in the associated setting box.

5) The default communication port is 3466

5) To complete the integration click on the "OK" button.
