Enterprise system may be described as where all server side module options are installed on single or multiple seperate dedicated hardwares. Please see Enterprise System Design for the diagram

SQL Database Server

Database query traffic requires mostly RAM

CPUXeon E5 2600, E56xx, 3rd or 4th gen i7 seriesdepends on number of total users
RAM16 GB for 1-10 users, 24 GB 10-15 users, 32 GB for +15 users
HDD500 GB SAS or SSD in RAID1 for database disk

DB disk must be physically separate from system disk

OSWin 2008 Server R2 64
serverIT server such as DL360, DL360p, DL380 or similarHP servers, Supermicro 1U, 3U servers are certified

Metus Archive Server

In an enterprise system, MAS will run Metus Archive module which is the backbone of the whole system

CPUsingle or dual Xeon E5 2600, E56xx, 3rd or 4th gen i7 seriesdepends on workflow
RAM8 GB
HDD500 GB SAS or SSD
OSWin 2008 Server R2 64
serverIT server such as DL360, DL360p, DL380 or similarHP, Dell, Supermicro 1U, 3U servers are certified

Metus Process Server

MPS is the transcoding engine of the system

CPUsingle or dual Xeon E5 2600, E56xx, 3rd or 4th gen i7 seriesdepends on transcoding and proxy workflow
GPUNvidia Geforce GTX 680 or GTX 690 (optional)for GPU accelerated H.264 proxy creation

serverIT server such as DL360, DL360p, DL380 or similarHP servers, Supermicro 1U, 3U servers are certified

Metus Web Server

Web server mainly requires CPU to serve web clients

CPUsingle or dual Xeon E5 2600, E56xx, 3rd or 4th gen i7 seriesdepends on web user traffic
RAM8 GB
HDD500 GB SAS or SSD
OSWin 2008 Server R2 64
serverIT server such as DL360, DL360p, DL380 or similarHP, Dell, Supermicro 1U, 3U servers are certified

Metus Image Matching Server

Metus Image matching server mainly requires RAM as the index information of the video is written on RAM
Each 1 hour of video takes approximately 1 MB RAM. Therefore, if you need to index 10.000 hrs of content, then server needs to have at least 10 GB RAM

CPUsingle or dual Xeon E5 2600, E56xx, 3rd or 4th gen i7 seriesdepends on image matching traffic
RAMmin. 16 GBdepends on size of the content to be indexed
