1.1 Installation of .NET4.0
.NET4.0 is necessary for each client computer. All versions of .NET4.0 are usefull. Please check your Control Panel > Programs and Feature. If Microsoft .NET Framework 4 haven’t installed on your system yet,
- Double click on dotNetFx40_client_x86_x64.exe, included by Premiere Extension setup folder (or access file from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718).
- Accept the license terms and click Install.
- When progress finished, click finish button to close installation.
1.2 Metus MAM Web Service-API installation
Metus MAM Web Service is licensed software that will be installed on to one machine in a workgroup. Each other computers must have access to this computer for using Metus MAM Web service properly. By this way, all workgroup members might get the Metus MAM projects.
- Double click on Metus MAM Web Service-API.msi installer and click Next button on Welcome window
- In Select Installation Folder window, default directory is suggested to leave as installation directory to users. Then, click Next.
- When installation is ready for computer, in this step, you’ll be supposed to click Next button to continue to installation
- While installation progress is going on, Set Service Login popup appears and asks for username, password and confirmation of password.
If computer is connected to a workgroup, Computer Name\Username should be typed as username and if computer is in a domain, Domain Name\Username should be typed in username field. In password field, password of the username should be typed. And it should be typed again to “confirm password” field to be sure that it is typed correctly. The user entered in this field must have administrator priviliges. Click OK to continue the installation.
Note: Be sure that a back slash “\” is typed before username, not a forward slash “/”.
- and finally, simply click Close button to finish the installation.
1.3 Metus MAM Web Service-API configuration
After finished installation progress, we need to do some configurations.
- Go to Metus MAM Web Service-API installation directory (default directory: c:\Program Files (x86)\Metus Technology\Metus MAM Web Service\ )
- Project files (.map, .mlp) of the projects should be placed under App_Data\SharedProjects subfolder. So, copy the project files that you want to use over Premiere Extension to this directory.
- Add new “project” node to under “projects” for each projects. Then copy your project’s GUID information into quotation marks. (To learn Project GUID; Open Metus MAM, Select Project > Project Information menu). Here is the sample SharedFields.xml and project node ;

- Open Metus MAM Web Service.exe.config file, located in root directory of Metus MAM Web Service, with a text editor (e.g. notepad) program. Then replace the IP information with localhost in http://localhost:8191/MetusService.
- Restart the Metus MAM Web Service in services.msc that shows all services installed to computer.
1.4 Installation of Flash Player Debugger
Each client pc requires Flash Player Debugger version. We suggest you to install the latest version of this setup. Setup folder includes flashplayer_plugin_debug.exe.
Also this setup file is available in (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html) with the name “Windows Flash Player -version- Plugin content debugger (for Netscape-compatible browsers)”
After the installation of Flash Player Debugger, configure system to use debug version of Flash Player. In Regedit.exe ;
- Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.3 (for Adobe Premiere Pro CS6)
- Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.4 (for Adobe Premiere Pro CC )
- Add a new string named 'PlayerDebugMode', set value to 1.
Note: If you couldn’t find CSXS.3 or CSXS.4 on Adobe at Regedit.exe, restart the PC.
1.5 Installation of Premiere Extension
- Double clicking on Premiere_Extension installation file or Windows > Adobe Extension Manager > File > Install Extension are available processes to start the installation.
- Accept the license agreement.
- In next step, if you are using an older version of extension, you must click on “Yes to All” option for applying changes for all existing files.
Note: If your computer doesn’t recognize the setup file type, please check your installed Programs and if you don’t have Adobe Extension Manager , install this free tool from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/ .
Note: All these instructions are applicable for Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 / CC on Windows OS.
