Metus Extension for Edius is a built-in GUI designed and developed to be used in Edius for editors. With the help of this built-in GUI, Edius users can access and use central Metus Library Mam according to their security settings and permissions.
Installation
This extension runs on windows platform where Edius 5 or later is installed.
1. Install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 sp1 if it is not installed on the system.
2. Make sure that Edius 5 or later is installed. First, Install the Edius and then install the extension.
3. Run the setup file with .msi extension. Complete the wizard using standard settings by clicking next buttons.
Interface
You will see Metus MAM under Edius Menu > View > Pallete > Metus MAM.
- Click the folder icon and Open Project.
- After you select the project file from your local disc, MAM will - as always - ask your username and password for authentication.
You will see the same project structure in left, and a more compact version of the browser and metadata tab.
- You can browse your archive, folders, and predefined search folders or search your archive all together to find needed assets
- You can change the view of assets: thumbnail or tile mode
- You can play your assets with 3rd party players
Tile Mode
- You can drag&drop the assets to Edius timeline, Edius will start to read them immediately from the archive
- Or you can add your assets to your Edius Bin (right click the asset, select Add to Bin)
- Marker information from you MAM archive will be imported to Edius as well
- You can use either proxy of the asset or the hi-res version. All your clips in the active sequence will be changed with one click between proxy and hi-res
Plug-in Settings
- You can change the language of the extension, you can set the number of projects to be kept in 'recent projects', you can set the max search result, you can map a network drive
